Do travel agencies accept letter of guarantee of CMBC?
A: you can use letter of guarantee of CMBC as alternative for guarantee fee paid to travel agency. Letter of guarantee of CMBC is now accepted by many travel agencies margin and gaining recognition gradually. If your travel agency not yet has this service, you may show them our promotion materials. Agencies can call our 24-hour customer service telephone line (95568 to artificial).
How long will the fund for letter of guarantee be frozen? How much is the handling fee?
A: frozen time of letter of guarantee is determined according to requirement of travel agency. Generally, fund of guarantee is released 10 days after date of returning to China specified in contract.
Shortest term of letter of guarantee of CMBC is 30 days (included), longest term is 180 days (included).
Handling fee is RMB20/per charge.
Under what circumstances, fund of guarantee will be paid to the travel agency?
A: If visitor does not return to China as scheduled, travel agency can file application with us within stipulated time and provide material proving tourist not coming back to China, the bank will transfer the fund of guarantee to travel agency as compensation.
What if letter of guarantee get expired?
A: after it is expired, we will automatically transfer the fund to your CMBC saving account, and provide you with financial services like saving and drawing, transfers, financial management and consumption.
How can I change the date of return in the contract?
A: you need to go to the operation branch where original letter of guarantee was processed and fill out Application for Extension of Letter of Guarantee, and return original to exchange for a new one. For agent application, ID of the agent is also required.
What if overseas tour is temporarily cancelled?
A: you need to get a Lifting of Letter of Guarantee in bank branch. After it is signed by travel agency, you should return original letter of guarantee and write it off in original bank branch, we will immediately transfer fund of guarantee to your savings account.
Can the same fund apply for issuance of a deposit proof and letter of guarantee?
A: if the fund for deposit proof has not been frozen, it can be used for letter of guarantee.
