Aged 74, has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bank and an external supervisor of the Bank since December 2004. Mr. Huang was a member of our Board of Directors from 1996 to 2003. Mr. Huang worked in a number of positions at the Bank of China from 1954 to 1999, including as the manager of the foreign affairs division and the general manager of the Bank of China, an executive director of the Bank of China, and the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank of China. Mr. Huang also served as a consultant to the Hong Kong and Macau affairs management department at the Bank of China, a committee member of the CPPCC of Fujian province, a financial advisor to the provincial government of Fujian, a special consultant to the provincial governments of Sichuan and Hunan and a senior consultant to the Shenzhen Special Administrative Region. Mr. Huang was the Chairman of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association for the first, second and third term, a Hong Kong delegate at the 8th NPC, and a committee member and the convener of the Treasury and Finance Committee of the Preparatory Committee for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Mr. Huang is the member of the fund management committee of the Pao Yu-Kong and Pao Zhao-long Scholarship for Chinese Students Studying Abroad.
Mr. Huang obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Xiament University in 1953. |
