CMBC Contributed RMB 10 Million to Earthquake-hit Areas

The senior management of CMBC, when hearing of the earthquake jolted Wenchuan County in Sichuan province on May 12, immediately convened special meetings to work over CMBC earthquake-hit area relief issues, and made the following arrangements: first, sending a donation proposal across the Bank, which raised RMB 10 million in less than a day. These funds have been delivered to the disaster-hit areas in Sichuan to help the areas to rehabilitate as soon as possible; second, knowing the basic situation of CMBC Chengdu Branch and Chongqing Branch after the quake, and instructing them, while arranging normal work and life, to engage in the disaster rescue and relief actively under the leadership of local government; third, CMBC has issued notices within its system, requiring all employees to hold their positions and do good in services, as well as guarantee the normal running of the Bank; meanwhile, focusing on the disaster-hit areas, the disaster and the civil life to get fully prepared for the future disaster relief work.
