Notice of Changes in Charges on Cash Withdrawal from Foreign ATMs with CMBC International Debit Card

Respected CMBC International Debit Card Holders: 

Its hereby proclaimed that in accordance with relevant regulations of VISA International Organization, when international debit card holders withdraw cash from ATM through VISA network on April 17, 2009 and beyond, ATM owners will shift the existing “fee-free” of charge on cardholders (excluding the 18 states of the United States) to “discretionary fee charge”. Charge standard will be decided by the issuing bank from which cardholders are advised to enquire about the standard prior to cash withdrawal. 

Pursuant to the forging regulations, when CMBC international debit cardholders withdraw cash from foreign ATMs through VISA network, the amount to be deducted from their respective account will be: (actual cash withdrawal amount denominated in currency for international settlement from international debit card + cash withdrawal charge)×(1+1%).

Cardholders are thus advised to make prior arrangement of capital use according to real need.
