The existing largest treasure house of culture and art in the world—Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes are faced with a crisis for the lack of huge restoration and protection funds.
To extend the life of the millennium-old Dunhuang, September 13, China Minsheng Banking Co., Ltd. officially launched "Common Concern of China Minsheng Bank and You for the Loss of Human Art—’Guarding Dunhuang’ Large-Scale National Fund-Raising Activities", calling for the common effort of all walks of life to make up the huge fund gap in the restoration and protection of Dunhuang Grottoes. Large-scale art exhibition "Approaching Dunhuang" is to be held in Beijing Yan Huang Art Museum on September 29. 
Following the contributions to Yan Huang Art Museum and the establishment of Minsheng Modern Art Museum, "Guarding Dunhuang" is another pioneering undertaking of CMBC in the area of public art and another active initiative to fulfil its social responsibility with public art as an breakthrough point.

Dunhuang is one of the world’s greatest and most brilliant historical and cultural heritage, and is well known for its unparalleled grotto art and Buddhist scriptures. Despite the vicissitudes through the millennium, there are still 492 grottos, 45,000 square meters of cherished murals, and over 2,400 colour scriptures kept at Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, the largest treasure house of arts and culture existing in the world.
