Innovative Credit Mode by CMBC to Spread Financial Wing for Chinese Film

On March 12, 2010, the large-scale activity I want to shoot films initiated with passionate devotion by Beijing TV, Hunan TV and Huaying Shengshi was formally launched. The launching ceremony was participated in by Guo Shibang, the General Manager of Retail Banking Department of CMBC, and Ren Hailong, President of Electronic Banking Department, and jointly witnessed by Zhang Pimin, Deputy Director of the Film Bureau of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, Chen Gang, Secretary of Beijing Chaoyang District Committee of CPC, Wu Xijun, Deputy Director of Beijing Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Center, Wei Wenbin, Vice-chairman of Hunan Provincial Committee of CPPCC, Chen Tianqiao, Chairman of Board of SNDA and Huaying Shengshi, Han Sanping, Chairman of Board of China Film Group Corporation, Wang Changtian, President of Enlight Media together with some famous directors and enterprise client representatives, a total of nearly 100 people.

As the only representative from financial agency attending the launching ceremony, Guo Shibang, the General Manager of Retail Banking Department of CMBC said to the journalist on the reason for supporting the program of I want to shoot films that: in the wake of the rapid growth of Chinese economy, the consumption demands by domestic residents in the culture and entertainment field especially in the film industry have been quickly released. CMBC has just been aware of the enormous future market potential in the cultural and creative industry which belongs to the rising credit field, and will actively explore the means and product modes for entering the credit market of cultural industry.

General Manager Guo Shibang also indicated that CMBC will assist Huaying Shengshi Cultural Broadcasting Co., Ltd. in expanding various kinds of financial service channels with a view to spread financial wings for "Chinese film" to soar. The cooperation with Huaying Shengshi Cultural Broadcasting Co., Ltd. will bring benefits to both parties in developing in-depth strategic partnership in the future, and at the same time indicate the much closer cooperation CMBC will make with advanced culture industry regarding the financial support for culture creation industry.

CMBC will, based on the traditional financing mode for the film and TV industry , create new financial tools, make research on and issue of financing products related to the program, and sell them through public financing products, which can not only gain financial support from the bank for Huaying Shengshi Cultural Broadcasting Co., Ltd. and make perfect combination of film culture and financial capital, but also receive better public understanding of and draw more public attention to “Shengshi”.

It is known by the journalist that the cooperation with Huaying Shengshi is another innovation made by CMBC in the financing mode for culture creation industry since the cooperation between CMBC and China Television Director Committee at the end of December, 2009, granting the first credit totalling 100million RMB to 23 domestic outstanding television directors for investment in the production of TV series by themselves or their companies.

In the press conference, Guo Shibang, the General Manager of Retail Banking Department of CMBC claimed that CMBC will make more research on and experience summary of the credit forms and supervision method for culture creation industry.
