The Company was recently informed by receiving a letter from China Fanhai Holding Group Limited, the Bank's second largest shareholder, of the fact that the shareholder pledged 118,100,000 shares of restricted tradable shares of the Bank it held to Beijing International Trust and Investment Co., Ltd. on November 9, 2007, and had gone through relevant formalities of such pledge registration at the Shanghai Branch of China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited.
